UPSEE 2021 which is the acronym for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination is conducted under the authority of AKTU which stands for Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University) and it was earlier called as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). It is a state level examination where approximately 2 lakh candidates appear every year for this state level engineering entrance exam so as to get admission to 1.50 lakh engineering seats. Admissions in engineering courses will be based on JEE Main 2021 scores.
It is the entrance exam which paves way for entry into various under graduate and post graduate courses offered by the respective Technical Institutions and Colleges. The courses which fall into this category include: 1st year of B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharma/BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA/MCA and 2nd year of B.Tech /B.Pharm/MCA including the specialization such as engineering, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology, fashion and apparel design, fine arts and management.

UPSEE 2021 registrations will be started from last week of January 2021 started for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Pharm/M.Des courses.
According to the rules and regulations of the university, out of the total seats available in engineering/architecture domain at private institutions, 10% is to be reserved for candidates belonging to other Indian State and on the basis of the combined merit list of UPSEE 2021, admission to these seats is granted to the candidates.
Also, JEE Main 2021 comes into picture here as 20% of the total seats available in private institutions will be filled on the basis of JEE Main 2021 merit where out of these 20% of seats, half of the total seats are to be filled by candidates belonging to UP area and remaining seats are to be filled by all the candidates falling under the all India merit list. No reservation is required for this and admission is done according to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

UPTU 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
To be able to apply for this examination, following UPSEE eligibility criteria should be met:
- Candidates should be a permanent citizen of Indian Nationality. However NRI candidates and Kashmiri Migrants can also apply.
- In order to get admission to UG programmes, candidates should be a class 12th pass out and must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with minimum 45% (40% for reserved category) or its equivalent examination from any recognized board and any one of Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical vocational subject.
- In order to get admission to PG programmes, candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks(45% for reserved category aspirants).
- No bar on the age limit is specified by the Authority.
- In order to get admission to B.Pharma or B.Tech lateral entry programme, a diploma course of 3 years is required to be completed in the related domain.
- For B.Tech (2nd year), candidate should be a diploma holder or a B.Sc. graduate with mathematics as one of the subjects.
- For MCA (2nd year), candidate should be a BCA or a B.Sc(IT/Computer Science) degree holder.
- For B.Pharm, candidate should be a pharmacy diploma holder.
UPSEE 2021 Application Form
UPTU Application form will be available online from fourth week of January 2021. The application fee is mentioned below:
For General/OBC Category the cost of the form is Rs. 1,200
For Female candidates, Physically Disabled and SC/ST category candidates the cost of the form is Rs. 600. The payment for the same is to be done is online mode only.
In order to fill the application form, candidates are required to have the scanned images of their photograph(3.5cm X 4.5cm) in JPEG Format with maximum file size of 100 KB and for left hand thumb impression and signature(3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG Format with maximum file size of 30 KB
No documents are required to be sent through the offline mode after online filling of the application form.
A printout of the confirmation page can be kept by the candidate for future use.
The application form number is also required to be kept by the candidate for future use.
Steps to be followed to fill the application form

Note :
- Candidates should note that in order to register for UPSEE 2021, submission of Aadhaar Card number of the candidate is mandatory.
- Kanpur Dehat is been added as a new exam centre along with other exam centers for the applicants.
- Cutoff marks for qualifying the exam will be 25% of the marks in the UPSEE exam, for the candidates belonging to the general category whereas for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category it is 20%.
UPSEE 2021 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for different courses is different in some or the other way. The question paper of the exam is bilingual in nature and hence will be available in English as well as Hindi language.
There are two modes in which the exam is conducted and that is OMR based test which is the offline mode and is for papers including Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 and Paper 4 and another one is CBT that is Computer Based Test which is for papers including Paper 5, Paper 6, Paper 7, Paper 8, Paper 9, Paper 10 and Paper 11.
There is no penalty for wrong answers. The marking scheme for the exam is in a way where each question will contain four marks for every correct response and more than one correct answer for each question will amount to incorrect response.

UPSEE 2021 Admit Card
The admit card which serves as a valid identification proof for UPSEE 2021 can be obtained from online mode only starting from third week of April 2021, which is the last date to download the admit card. Admit cards will be issued online mode. Details about the exam venue, exam date and time along with the personal details of the candidate such as name, father’s name, category, gender etc are listed in the admit card. The 8 digit UPSEE 2021 roll number of the candidate is also mentioned in the admit card. There is separate AKTU Admit Card 2021 for each & every paper of the UPSEE 2021 exam. No permission will be granted to enter the examination hall without UPSEE 2021 Hall Ticket. However in case the candidate finds any errors in the admit card, the same must be communicated to the concerned authority. The admit card should be preserved by the candidate till the time the admission procedure gets completed.
Steps to Download the Admit Card:
Following are the steps which are to be followed to download the admit card for UPSEE 2021.
- Go to the official website of UPSEE.
- Click on the “Download UPSEE Admit Card 2021” link.
- Enter the “Application Number” and “Password” which were provided at the time of registration for UPSEE
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Click on the download button. Hence save the downloaded admit card or take out the print out of the same for future use.
UPSEE 2021 Result
The results for the UPSEE 2021 exam are to be announced in last week of May. It will contain the total marks obtained by the candidate in UPSEE exam 2021. The result can be checked online by the candidate after logging in the official website and entering the 8 digit UPSEE 2021 roll number in the desired option. Answer keys for each and every exam are also released by the APTU which is the exam conducting body in order to keep the process fair and transparent and hence the final merit list is compiled in the end.
UPSEE 2021 Counseling
Counseling for UPSEE 2021 is conducted post declaration of the UPSEE 2021 result. The complete details about the date and procedure according to the merit list and ranks of the candidates are to be published by AKTU. A candidate has to pass the UPSEE 2021 exam in order to participate in the counseling process. The candidate is required to fill in the choices of various colleges according to the marks obtained in the examination and then document verification process is conducted. Also the seats are allotted to the candidate on the basis of his marks and the availability of the seats in the respective category.
Once the seat in a particular college is allotted to the candidate, he/she is required to submit some part of the admission fee at the counseling center and post this the allotment letter is issued to the candidate to submit the remaining amount during the time of reporting to the allotted institution in order to complete the admission formalities. The candidate cannot demand the fee to be refunded to him in case he does not report to his allotted institution.
