Study in Germany

Study in Germany Overview

German education system is known for offering promising study in Germany programs with a great variety of high-quality courses at a very low cost compared to many other countries. One reason why German universities under-perform in rankings, relative to some of their famous American and British counterparts, may be the fact that some of the most famous independent research institutes such as ‘Max Planck,’ ‘Leibniz,’ and ‘Fraunhofer,’ which although embedded within university clusters, are seldom if ever included as integral parts during university rankings. The German higher education system consists of around 400 institutions, divided into public “tuition free” institutions that host over 2.4 million students. Higher education in Germany consists of three different types of institutions:

  • Universities
  • Universities of Applied Sciences
  • Technical, Art, Film and Music Colleges

Universities in Germany are known to excel in both infrastructure and curricula.
