MCAT 2023 which stands for Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) 2023 is an international level standardized test conducted to provide admission to the students who wish to study in medical schools of USA, Australia, Canada and the Caribbean Islands. Students interested in pursuing MD degree in US or Canada can take the MCAT. The exam conducting body is Association of American Medical colleges (AAMC).
Talking about previous years, MCAT was a pen and paper based exam however with the recent changes, it is now a computer based exam evaluating a candidate on four scales, namely, Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior; and Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills. This exam mainly tests the knowledge of the student in scientific concepts and principles related to the field of medicine. The exam is conducted 25 times throughout 2023, with no test dates scheduled in February.

MCAT Eligibility 2023
Talking about the eligibility to sit for MCAT, any candidate who is keen to study in health professional institutions can take the MCAT. International students do not require ‘special permission’ to register for MCAT if they have completed MBBS or are pursuing the program.US medical colleges offer MD degrees. However, students are thus required to have an undergraduate degree before applying. Students usually complete the following courses before applying to US medical schools:
- One year of biology
- One year of physics
- One year of English
- Two years of chemistry (through organic chemistry)
Along with medicine, the following schools are also a part of ‘health professional institutions’ :
- Allopathic
- Osteopathic
- Podiatric and
- Veterinary medicine.
MCAT 2023 Registration
The registration for MCAT 2023 can be done through the online mode by creating an AAMC account. After the account is created, candidate id and password is generated and that id and password can be used to register for the Exam as well as maintain the account for future correspondence. It is strongly recommended that registration should be done 60 days prior to the exam.

MCAT 2023 Scores
The four main sections of MCAT are scored individually. In addition, MCAT will also release sum total of the four sections. The official MCAT scores are released 30–35 days after the exam is over.
